If there is one thing you should know about me it is that I am not much of a drinker. I dabble in Hard Cider’s or Hard Soda’s, but overall alcohol and me do not get along. But we live in an age where loving beer is at an all time high or, more specifically, the love of CRAFTING beer is at an all time high. There are breweries all around this great country of ours but recently I decided to partake in a brewery down South LA.
Brouwerij West Brewery has been around the San Pedro area of LA for a while but they have recently opened up a new location closer to the pier. After being invited by a couple of friends I drove all the way down the 405 & 110 to wet my appetite for a few hours. Here are some of the highlights below:
The outside of the Brewery. Big enough to house a brewery AND several food trucks.
Oh and a small stage for a band.
Inside the Brouwerij itself! Looks massive but they are still in the middle of construction so to the right of this image is a lot of empty space.
Looks pretty sweet at night though.
Look! It’s containers! With what I imagine is beer…
Best view of the bar. 10/10.
The bands look to be having fun now that the sun is gone.
The one thing we all go the a brewery for: All the dogs! This place is a dog-friendly zone so, of course, I had to take their pictures!
Big brother with little brother.
Chilling by the bar.
This picture isn’t doing him justice but…THE MOST gorgeous dog I’ve ever laid eyes on.
A friend’s roommates dog in Doug! A cute little pug that was a ball of energy.
Here is Doug making a new friend.
So, in the end, I had a lot of fun despite not being much of a beer drinker. Would definitely come to this place again or, if I am feeling adventurous, try out other breweries in the area. In the end I had a pretty great time with friends and making new ones as well. As you can see below we had a lot of fun together:
